Lynn Knudsen, InnerPlay Founder and NextStage Co Founder, is an Artist, Teacher and Creative Aging Advocate.

Short bio: Lynn enjoyed a twelve year professional career in Broadway Theatre, after which she moved to Los Angeles to have a family. She retired to Santa Cruz in 2004 to be closer to her granddaughters and reacquainted herself with her love of theatre and performance. For several years she was a Santa Cruz Follies performer, director and assistant director of productions and board member at the Market Street Theater. At Cabrillo Stage, a professional theatre, Lynn helped develop the Cabrillo Theatre Guild. In 2012 she brought a replication of the renowned Stagebridge Senior Theatre from Oakland to Santa Cruz.
After the move to Santa Cruz CA to be near her grandchildren, Lynn was bitten a second time by the showbiz bug and performed with the Santa Cruz Follies, which led to developing a nonprofit organization for adults interested in performance arts. NextStage Santa Cruz was incorporated in 2018 and continues today to offer opportunity to aging adults to train and perform on the stage.
She formed an organization called “InnerPlay” which offers a myriad of Creative Aging Arts programs to Los Angles, where she now resides. Lynn is an artist, teacher, business professional and creative aging advocate.
